The Village of Cranbury

The Village of Cranbury is at the center of New Jersey both north/south & east/west making us ideally close to New York City, Philadelphia, the mountains & the shore; it is a convenient drive from all locations in the state. The door of The Cranbury Inn is 4 miles from the toll booths of Exit 8 & Exit 8A of the New Jersey Turnpike.

Cranbury Brook flows through the township and the bridge/dam at Main Street has created the man made Brainard Lake located just 7 buildings north of The Cranbury Inn. In the winter when the lake is sufficiently frozen there is ice skating on Brainard Lake, which is lighted for your evening skating pleasure. Hot chocolate is available at The Cranbury Inn to help warm you afterward. Brainard Lake is partially bordered on the north by Village Park. The gazebo and the lake make this park a great location for wedding photos.

The Village features a well-preserved collection of mill style homes. There are historic markers around The Village to enhance your walking pleasure and historic interest. You can park at The Cranbury Inn and walk the streets of The Village returning to The Cranbury Inn for a meal before you go on your way.

There are three churches in The Village all located on the Main Street: The First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury, Cranbury United Methodist Church and Saint David's Episcopal Church. Ministers from these churches have officiated at wedding ceremonies in the Cranbury Inn.
